Beta v0.5.0 Released
The game now has proper saves and unlocks. The bones of the game are complete!
The tutorial has also been made much more detailed, so the player hopefully won't have to have already played Slay the Spire to understand what's going on.
I feel comfortable calling this a "Beta" now since the bulk of the remaining work is filling out the content. I'll be working on putting up a Steam demo soon.
Changelog
v0.4.6 -> v0.5.0
Bug Fixes
- Cutscene names now appear on mouseover when looking at the Library in the main menu.
- Fixed Seagull's Tactical Tome triggering every turn after turn 2.
- Fixed some terrain effects not being drawn.
- Prevented being able to click Play/Exit multiple times in a row on the main menu.
- Fixed z-fighting on Energy terrain in certain circumstances.
- Fixed block preview on cards that both deal damage and apply Block (such as Seagull's Light from Within).
- Fixed Butterfly's Step Chart using her Striation terrain sprite.
- Adjusted timing of area intro and "Your Turn" notifications to prevent overlap.
Story
- Made the tutorial more detailed.
- Edited some tutorial-related dialogue.
- Added dialogue on returning from your first "real" run.
- Characters, paths, cards and memories must now be unlocked.
This helps me pace the story and the more complex game mechanics.

Visuals
- Enemy movements now play out simultaneously when multiple enemies' only intent is to move.
- Multi-hitting attacks have a slightly longer delay between hits.

- Removed menu motion from character select screen.
- Added a bigger notification when you clear a realm.
Gameplay
- The first battle of each realm no longer spawns enemies from other realms.

- Added an end-of-demo-content cutscene.
Quality of Life
- You can now select units by clicking their sprite rather than just the tile they're standing on.

- Added clickable button for the Library on the character select screen.
- Added buttons to check characters' unlocked cards and memories on the character examine screen.
- Added buttons to check universal unlocked cards and memories on the character select screen.
- "Quit" on the pause menu is now "Exit Game", for clarity.
