NOMIA (Demo v0.6.3)
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
NOMIA is a story-rich isometric tactics roguelike.
Two heroes, two hands; no one should die the same way twice.
This is a work in progress by a solo developer; the current build is a demo.
Your hand has two halves.
Your Actions persist between turns, but have charges and cooldowns.
Your Gambits are drawn from your deck each turn, and are discarded when played.
Set up combos with your ever-reliable Actions, or execute masterstrokes by drafting and drawing just the right Gambits.
Your party has two heroes.
The Mighty has more Actions. The Magical has more Gambits.
Each has a deck of 50 cards, and they can access a pool of 100+ Memories both unique and shared which create powerful synergies.
Chain together martial and mystical abilities to overcome the many challenges in your path.
Your foes have tells.
Enemy intents and incoming damage are shown before you commit any movement. Extensive information drives clever defense and brilliant counterplays.
Outsmart your foes with precise movement, solid defense, or by drawing their attention with an attack to protect your ally. Or, simply kick them off a cliff with the right positioning and the right knockback card.
Your path is winding.
Each of the five realms features its own enemies, items, and terrain. Battle mechanically unique foes and powerful bosses as you grow in strength and complexity.
Discover the truth behind a mysterious disappearance as a stone-eating scourge devours your home.
Dive deep into the Dream, and play your cards well.

Thank you! I hope you enjoy!
I LOVE this! Anything with Tactics as inspiration is amazing to me. What are the chances we'll get a mac build eventually?
Thank you so much! I'm hoping to have a mac build soon; I don't have a mac myself so I'll need to figure out the process, but it's a goal!
Awesome! Also I’m happy to fill out QA/Playtesting forms. I might have some friends/colleagues with Macs that could do the same if it helps.
Thank you! I'll keep that in mind once I get started on the process! :D
As of 0.4.0, I've made a Mac build! I have no guarantees that it works, but hopefully it runs smoothly since I'm not doing too much fancy stuff with the graphics.
yes!! I’ll check it out and let you know how it runs :)
I only just realized you're the group that made Overclocked.I had no idea why this game was appearing on my feed lmao.
Holy shit I'm so glad you're back this is amazing!I actually need to try this now!
Ahh, thanks for stopping by! :D I'm flattered that you remember Overclocked!
Hey! I tested the demo and loved your game! I'm a huge fan of Final Fantasy Tactics and Slay the Spire!
I noticed that your game has all the audio with placehold assets and I wanted to tell you, I'm a composer! How can we get in touch to discuss further (if you are interested)?
My discord, if you want to get in touch directly: guigagliardo
Thanks so much! I'm already working with a composer currently, but I appreciate you reaching out!
Thanks for replying!
