Alpha v0.4.1 Released
It's easy to lose sight of what information is obvious or obscure to the player after working on a project for a long time, so this update has a bunch of tweaks to convey structural information like how many areas are in a run. I'm sure it'll be a continuous process of realizing something only makes sense to me because I developed it, then tweaking the presentation. Thanks, players who aren't me!

Bug Fixes
- Fixed card text not describing the width of the effect area for certain cards.
- Fixed enemies not realizing they'd be destroyed before acting when they had DoTs amplified by Fragile.
- Fixed enemies not realizing they could still act when they had DoTs mitigated by Sturdy.
- Golden Sapling now also specifies that it can't be applied to Opportunity cards.
- Fixed incoming DoT damage on party members not accounting for Fray.
- Fixed coordinate indicator appearing over cards.
- Fixed inventory capacity warning not hiding when opening menus.
Visuals
- Added VFX for gaining and using items.
- Mouse controls are now indicated by icons rather than text.
- Added an indicator for how far along the expedition is.
- Made AP/GP pools drain on character portrait.
- Terrain effects now also follow tile animations.
- Fixed fire plane transparency sorting order.
Audio
- Added new revision of the menu theme.
Quality of Life
- Added a dedicated button for examining characters on the selection screen.
- Terrain now also describes the statuses it applies when hovered over.
- The path choice after each boss now has a reminder of each realm's enemy types.
- Optimism card text has been made clearer.
- Lunge card text has been simplified, as every Lunge card ends up adjacent to its target.
- Black Tea memory text has been simplified.

- Universal: Strengthened Wayfarers.
- Fire: Reduced HP of Calcines. Strengthened Ardors and Combustion Eaters.
- Water: Reduced HP of Cacophonies. Strengthened Cascades.
- Wood: Reduced HP of Apothecaries. Strengthened Strand Eaters and Pedants.
- Metal: Reduced HP of Midwalkers. Strengthened Steel Eaters.
- Earth: Reduced HP of Landbreakers. Weakened Moss Eaters and reworked their behaviour. Strengthened Geodes.
Cards
- Butterfly: Added Step Chart, an Action which creates a line of tiles that grant Parry.
- Seagull: Added Drainfield, a Gambit which creates a zone of tiles that inflict Weakened and Fear.
- Enfeeble now inflicts 5 Weakened instead of 3.
- Cricket: Added Code Rot, an Action which creates a zone of tiles that inflict Fragile.
- Crow: Added Emberfield, a Gambit which creates a large temporary zone of tiles that inflict Burn.
- Added Murky Spirit, which creates a poison swamp in a large area.
- Most Golden Unusual cards no longer Destroy, but instead have 1 charge, so they become dead draws after being played.
Memories
- Added Neural Pathway, which has a 1 in 5 chance to draw a card whenever you play a Tactic.
- Added Flywheel, which gives 1 Nimble for every 3 movement cards played.
- Added Tetrahedron, which gives you an additional choice at memory draft rewards.
- Added Hexahedron, which gives you an additional reroll for all rewards.
- Added Octahedron, which gives you an additional choice at card draft rewards.
- Added Dodecahedron, which increases the Stars gained on skipping a reward.
