Alpha v0.3.2 Released
Placeholder music has been replaced by the (work-in-progress) real music by Will Goss! Very excited to continue developing the sound of the game. In the meantime, I'm continuing to add more content and more quality-of-life features to flesh out the game.
Turns out a lot of the "feel" of a roguelike lives in how it paces its encounters, so this is something I'll be tuning behind the scenes for quite some time.

Bug Fixes
- Certain cards now properly display text when mutated by an item.
- Effortless Grace no longer gives Focus on the very first turn of a battle.
- Fixed Splashbolt maximum stack counter.
- Fixed aggro tutorial overlapping action/gambit tutorial if the first card played is an attack.
- Fixed Crow's Descending Flame working with all cards, not just Spells.
- Fixed health diamond not updating after using max-HP gain items until deselecting and reselecting.
- Prevented situations where enemies spawn in such a way that completely boxes in a party member.
- Fixed Retribution memories being triggered by friendly AOE attacks.
Visuals
- There is now consistently no space between a status effect's icon and name.
Audio
- Replaced placeholder music with work-in-progress music by Will Goss.
Gameplay
- Battles can no longer happen for Rest or Cauldron paths.
- Reworked battle pacing; simpler battles happen occasionally to prevent long stretches of no action.
- Items that draft actions now prioritize cards not already possessed.
- Items that draft memories now prioritize memories not already possessed.
Quality of Life
- You can no longer use HP-cost items on units without enough HP.
- You can now press Tab to switch between units (rebindable).
- You can now deselect with the spacebar (rebindable).
- The settings/keybinds menus have been tidied up with section headers.
- The settings/keybinds menus now have scroll bars when the display is too small to accomodate all settings.
Enemies
- Added Construction Sign, a mysterious enemy for the purpose of blocking off depths that aren't fully fleshed out yet.
- Fire: Added Combustion Eater.
- Water: Added Flood Eater.
- Wood: Added Strand Eater.
- Metal: Added Steel Eater.
- Earth: Added Moss Eater.
Cards
- Universal:
- Added Suspension, which creates bridges in a long rectangle.
- Added Tunneling, which blasts through walls in a long rectangle.
- Cricket:
- Anchor now also applies Resist.
- Guard now also applies Resist.
- Blinding Speed now lunges 1 tile further, and upgrades lunge distance rather than Dodge gain.
Items
- Universal:
- Added Mind Expansion, which increases a unit's max HP.
- Added Wide Eye, which increases an AOE card's area by 1 this battle.
- Added Intimidating Aura, which increases a push card's knockback by 1 this battle.
Memories
- Seagull's Tactical Tome now activates every other turn.
- Added Heavy Anvil, which absorbs 2 stacks of defensive statuses each turn, and gives Block equal to all stacks absorbed this battle.
- Each character now has more unique Memories.
- Butterfly:
- Iron Bands grant 15 Block on battle start.
- Sharpened Point grants 3 Focus for every 3 Block cards played.
- Underdog Spirit removes all Critical on turn end, then grants 1 Critical for each adjacent unit.
- Seagull:
- Heavy Robe grants 1 Form if you have over 10 Block on turn end.
- Polishing Cloth grants 5 Focus for every 5 cards played on an ally.
- Focusing Lens converts up to 1 unused GP into Flow on turn end.
- Cricket:
- Heartwood Slab grants 1 Resist on turn end if you already have Resist.
- Veneer Sheet grants Block per stack of Parry, Resist and Dodge on turn end.
- Wood Stain converts up to 1 unused AP into Vigor on turn end.
- Crow:
- Slow Burn causes all Reload cards to start with 1 less initial charge, but 1 more maximum charge.
- Astral Chart converts 2 stacks of any damage over time statuses into Focus on turn end.
- Constellation converts 1 stack of Focus into 1 stack of Critical on turn end.
