Alpha v0.2.4 Released
Character art is redone! I've also reworked the path choices to be more Hades-like; the player chooses their reward, and the game sets the challenge. I wanted to avoid making the player choose between avoiding tough battles and chasing tough battles, and this lets me tweak the pacing of the encounters behind the scenes.
One other major change is that cards that put other cards into your draw pile now always add them on top. This buffs Crow's cycle cards particularly; I'll probably write a devlog about the thought process behind this later.

Gameplay
- Cards that add other cards to the draw pile now always put them on top of the pile.
- Changed path choice framework -- you now pick the reward rather than the challenge.
- Added path choice for standard card drafts.
- Added path choices for drafting unit-specific cards.
- Added path choices for drafting type-specific cards.
- Added path choice for gaining Stars.
- Certain choices, such as card removal, can now only happen a certain number of times per run.
Quality of Life
- Added camera movement sensitivity setting.
- Tooltips for cards that draw other cards will now also display drawn cards' keywords and statuses.
- Items that add keywords can no longer be wasted on cards that already have those keywords.
Cards
- Seagull:
- Impulse and Recall now add Stress to discards rather than draw pile.
- Cricket:
- Perseverance now has Persist.
- Sneak Attack now has weaker scaling, but can be upgraded twice.
- Crow:
- Nest Egg now has Persist.
- Inversion can now steal ally block like Scour does.
Items
- Fire: Added Pyroclast, which increases a card's power at the cost of giving it Overheat.
- Water: Added Triple Point, which reduces a card's Overheat this battle.
- Wood: Added Glossary, which drafts a random common Action at the cost of max HP.
- Metal: Added Roborant, which increases a unit's max HP at the cost of inflicting Weakened.
- Earth: Added Recitation, which drafts a random rare Gambit at the cost of max HP.
